Mercury Ascending III

Mercury Ascending is a meditation on change, presence, and disappearance. The photographs show the body as a shifting constellation of light and shadow, a dance of silver pollen across late-summer air. There is a sense of constant integration and disintegration, echoing Buddhist notions of impermanence (anicca). The self is not fixed but shimmering, like the alchemical mercury revered by mystics as a bridge between the material and spiritual realms.
